SF Marathon 2022

After 5 years of running my last half-marathon in Mumbai, I registered for the San Francisco Full Marathon.

Wife got pretty excited too and registered for the half-marathon. She has done a 10K in Bristol, UK, but it’s been a few years for her as well.

My goal is to complete the marathon in sub 4-hour. A sub 4-hour marathon requires an average mile pace of 9:09 that seems reasonable but would need disciplined training and consistency.

I could not find a good training plan in the printable format so I created one that can be accessed here. The next goal is to ask a few colleagues who did ultramarathons, triathlons, and marathons for their guidance on proper gear.

The biggest challenge so far seems to be on the nutrition side. Wife and I both do not eat any meat so finding the right nutrition would be a challenge.

We also plan to raise funds for an animal welfare charity Animal Aid Unlimited. Wife and I both passionately support this charity and would love support from friends to donate a considerable amount.

Let the work begin!

Life is good. 🙂
