Year in review – 2023

I remember watching a Ted talk long back. I don’t remember much of it, but do remember a sentence from the talk – “The days you remember are the days you live”.  Following are the few days that I’ll remember and cherish from 2023. 

👉 Got promoted to Security & Compliance Director, Mar ’23

👉 Presented at BSides SF, Apr ’23

👉 Finally received the US Driver’s license, May ’23

👉 Taught CISA for ISACA Silicon Valley Chapter to 900+ students, May – Jul ’23

👉 Talked with my friends at Dasera regarding the importance of data security and running, Jun ’23

👉 Took over an additional role of Corp Apps Manager, Jul ’23

👉 Talked with my friends at ‘Your Life Unfiltered’ on all things cybersecurity, running, and nutrition, Aug ’23

👉 Published a best-selling book on GRC and Security after 18 months of rigorous writing, Sep ’23

👉 Completed a 50 km ultramarathon at Berkeley, Sep ’23

👉 Completed a 50 mi ultramarathon at Castro Valley, Sep ’23

👉 Organized the Headspace Engineering Runner’s Challenge and ran 223.9 mi in Sep ’23

👉 Received the CSO 50 award for Headspace’s Privacy Operations Center (POC), Oct ’23

👉 Received the ‘Best In-house Training’ award from Litmos for Headspace’s Privacy & Security training, Nov ’23

👉 Finished the year with 1000+ km of running

And, the best is yet to come!
